Connecticut Sheep Breeders Association, Inc.

As with most organizations, CSBA, Inc. relies on volunteers to help run our major events.  Whether you use the old adage about how many hands make light work or the one about the more the merrier, it is certainly true that the more folks there are to share the workload the more pleasant is makes it for everyone involved.

Some of the areas, in addition to our Festival, that we are currently looking for help in are advertising, directors to fill positions that are expiring in 2010, and speakers for educational topics at the Sheep, Wool and Fiber Festival and 2011 Blue Ribbon Forum.

Our annual Sheep, Wool, and Fiber Festival is our biggest event and every aspect of the Festival needs volunteers.  Even if you can only spend a couple of hours relieving someone else it is a great help as it allows all of us a chance to see some of the Festival. Most often we need help with vendor set up, kitchen help, parking crew, grounds set up and take down and Sheep Dog Trial (scribes for the judge, course set up and take down, set out pen helpers, etc.).

If you would like to volunteer to help us with the planning or execution of any of our events and projects or just have ideas to share with us please send an email to secretary@ctsheep.com who will forward it to the appropriate chairperson.

Anyone Out There Need Something To Do?

The CSBA nominating committee is looking for volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors; we are looking to recruit Director(s) and a Secretary; positions will be voted on at our November annual meeting and start immediately thereafter.  The only absolute requirement is that you are a member of the CSBA and want to work to help further the goals of our organization; whether you have 1 sheep, no sheep or a hundred doesn’t matter, you just need to be interested and have some time to give.
